A Hint of Spice!

Over 70 curry lovers turned up to the village hall to enjoy a 'Hint of Spice' despite the high winds and driving rain. The range of dishes was excellent and catered for all curry lovers - vegetarians - and even curry haters!. After 'Stand up Bingo' the Quiz consisting of 93 photos of the rich, famous and infamous was argued over, discussed and finally marked with two tables in a dead heat for the winner, after strong representations were made to the quiz master over one of the photographs leading to change of name. Was he right or wrong? The highlight of the evening was a Grand Raffle of over 15 prizes ranging from Vodka, chocolates and bathroom goodies. The main attraction was a Sari Outfit won by Jeffery Giblin who promises to wear it to the next Village Hall function. Thanks go to all the organisers, chefs, serving staff, quiz and raffle organisers - especially the one who was partially colour blind between blue and green on the evening.
