INTER-VILLAGE OLYMPICS

A meeting has taken place to discuss the viability of holding inter-village Olympic games to celebrate and mark 2012 as the Year of the London Olympics. These would strengthen our sense of community and provide the means of having fun together.

Villages would be grouped together with Good Easter partnering Chalk End and High Easter in a wide selection of contests aimed not just at adults but at the under twelve's. Activities will include cricket, five a side football, tug o’war, badminton, running plus general athletics, equestrian events, tennis, table tennis, golf and clay pigeon shooting.

Most activities would take place in the fortnight before finals day aimed at July 7th 2012 .

It is important to find strong support for this project and to seek out improvements. If you have any comments to make please e mail me at jaguarpippins@aol.com                       Alan Hall – Chairman Good Easter Parish Council
